Tripwire (Jack Reacher #3) by Lee Child

My Rating of “Tripwire (Jack Reacher #3)” by Lee Child: 6 / 10

This is the third of Child’s books that I have read and started in sequence. Although I haven’t published a review for the first two books I felt after the third it was time to write something up.

Over the years I have heard many people recommend reading the Jack Reacher series. Reacher’s character is certainly one that myself and other men would emulate; hence the beauty of fiction where you immerse into a world in which you can live this fantasy.

I switched into this series after reading some amazing fiction books therefore I must admit that it took me a bit of time to get in sync with his writing style and prose. Like most genres of this kind it starts slow and begins to build into a book that just cannot be put down. That said I think the first two books certainly rate higher than this one. This book hit the same tempo throughout and I am now ready to engage in another fictional series for variety. Let’s be clear I’m not going to traverse through every Lee Child book at this stage!

One aspect to mention is that you learn a lot from Child when it comes to military procedures, forensics and combat. I end up highlighting many things in the book which I come back to reflect on. Definitely an added bonus to life’s reality!
