Debt: The First 5,000 Years
Debt: The First 5,000 Years by David Graeber
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Listened to the Audiobook version hence I didn’t take as many notes as I normally would. With that being said it is a very detailed book that delves into the depths of money, debt and how trade has evolved from the mesopotamia days all the way through to today’s financial system.

Whilst the book provides a lot of history, it really wasn’t for me given I was more after how debt works and has evolved. What was interesting were the aspects of how capitalism and communism have come about and some ways will not be sustainable going into the future. No criticism on the book, that is on me.
