It has taken me a long time to get around to reading 1984. Perhaps it was due to the current political environment and the changes going on or that it has been on my “classic to-read” list for some time. Whatever the reason 1984 didn’t disappoint. Although written in the 50s it is still very relevant today and applicable to some governments around the world; you can guess which ones. The story I admit was a little slow and it took me a while to be drawn in. Part three however was where it all comes together. Certainly worth the read, however you should definitely invest some time to reflect on it when you have finished reading it.
