2016

The plan was to post this entry before 2016. I feel it is suitable to look back at 2015 on the first day of the next year to see what has been accomplished and to put down on paper my new goals for 2016.

2015 was the biggest year in my life. I started the year living Los Angeles with a full-time role and ending it by resigning and travelling the world. I started 2015 as an engaged man and finished as a happily married husband to the most amazing woman I have met in my life. I read a book in January 2015 that would change my life for the better (The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod). This book helped me establish a daily routine resulting in the completion all the goals that I set out for throughout the year. This includes but is not limited to reading more than 50 non-fiction books, reading over 85 GetAbstact book summaries, meditating every day, journaling every day, and completing my Project Management Professional Certification with PMI.

I recently read somewhere that you should not competing against other people but focus only on competing against yourself. With that in mind I will continue on the path that I started last year as that is my baseline. I will read more books, more book summaries, find a new job that aligns with my strengths/values/needs, see more countries around the world and continue to enhance some of the other goals I track.

Blogging has been a tool allowing me to reflect on experiences, share ideas and document achievements I have made. This will continue into the new year. Happy New Year and make 2016 your best year ever!
